As always, such a treat Joanna & co. Loving Big Salad so much - the amount of tabs open might be hitting a new record with these monthly edits! Thanks for always being thoughtful curators & creators x
Lol, same re: record number of tabs open! My favorite Saturday morning ritual is to read COJ with alllll the tabs open - the addition of Big Salad is taking the experience to a new level. 😉
Laughing because when NYT ran the article on the plum torte this fall, I was like it's just a cake with plums and no icing? How could it be good? But then I made one and it was so good. I had to see what all the fuss was about. I just made a second one this weekend ha ha!
Wow thank you so much for the Normal Gossip recommendation! When I felt myself sliding into melancholy yesterday and today, I turned on an episode from this podcast and it brought me so much joy (and kept me in a manageable space). I’m a new but very enthusiastic fan!
Eyeing that novel! Right now I'm deeeeply into the Weird Medieval Guys podcast: A spinoff from a popular Twitter account that's just bizarre images from medieval manuscripts. A podcast shouldn't work! But it does! The hosts do ridiculous bits (still thinking of Medieval Guy Fieri, hahaha) and share medieval history. It's gossipy and engrossing.
yes, we are doing this newsletter instead — each weekly email has a round-up of CoJ, too, but now there's much more original content in each newsletter. thank you!!
For the recipe poll, instead of choosing just one, I would make all three and have a dinner party! Maybe add a salad too! Yum!

I'm getting red socks! What a fun way to jazz up my winter ankles! I'm feeling happier just thinking about it!
I also love Good Culture Cottage Cheese and a bonus for me is that it doesn't rile up my IBS.
I’m eyeing products from tart vinegar.
Absolutely love the inclusion of the crossword! Do I still have a chance to enter?
Love Ira Glass EXCEPT the vocal fry!! Don't adopt that, and you'll be golden. :)
