Got a little weepy reading that Rob Delaney quote: Thank you for including it!

It’s the best quote!! And I don’t even know him. But I want to yell it to every pregnant person I meet from now on

Me too, love him so much. His parenting journey has stuck with me.

the way he talks about his family, especially his sweet sweet son Henry, is really moving.

Actually reminds me of when I was pregnant with my first and I told a much more senior woman at my work who was also a mother. She just said oh my goodness, that is the best news. And then, you know everyone always warns you about the bad parts, the sleeplessness, the tiredness, the worrying etc. But you know, it’s also a lot of fun. I feel like people forget to say that. Kids are a lot of fun. It was definitely the best thing to say to me at the time (and is also true).

I just went on a whole daydream today about how Only You is the most underrated rom com. Speaking of black and white outfits! Marisa Tomei is the cutest.

Ha, I will try to be more like Samantha Irby when responding to anyone questioning what I enjoy. Her "I like it, I like it a lot!" is way nicer than my admittedly defensive "Why are you ridiculing what I like? The world would be boring and impossible if we all enjoyed the same things."

However, I have yet to find anyone that did not enjoy the movie "Meet The Parents" :)

I've been doing it for everything lately- SATC Reboot? "I like it!" Pumpkin spice? "I like it alot!" The limit does not exist.

Can someone tell me what a sleepy boy is so I don’t have to google it??

Related: the other day my husband was annoyed by someone asking for something they could have easily googled for themselves. I told him, “when someone asks the time or definition of something they are really just needing a connection in that moment. They are reaching out.”

From someone who grew up without the internet and is now amazed that we carry a magic information machine in our hands, I will adopt this perspective pronto!

Samantha Irby is my sleep twin! I also like to sleep in subzero conditions (according to my family) with fans running at warp speed while wearing long sleeves and hanging my back to rear outside of the blankets. I feel seen.

I feel like this nightgown with sleeves is a revelation. I wear my sleeveless night gowns with tshirts on top to cocer my arms Nd be more comfortable

When there's bread on the table, you only want 4 to 6 people. I mean, yeah! I love it when comedians capture the cold, hard truths.

Something that always makes me laugh, and my daughter will ask to listen to at least once a fortnight...a great episode on The Moth called No Ordinary Love by David Crabb about a trip to Russian Baths. This guy captures character and place in a snap and you are there in the East Village as the angry old lady at the front counter is ramming carrots into a juicer.

I am from Australia and when I visit my cousin in NJ next year, this is top of my list of place to go in NYC. I will be terrified but it will be a pilgrimage!

Just discovered Samantha Irby is my spirit sister; enormous noggins, unapologetic likes, always cooking smitten kitchen recipes, freezing cold bedroom with multiple fans and a white noise machine. The only thing I'm missing is the nightgown and now I need to try it out.
